Collecting Information


  1. Personal information: In order to be able to use our service, the user needs to register and creates an account which requires the following information:
    • First/Last Name
    • Email Address
    • Location
    • IP Address
  2. This information will be stored and can be accessed to identify individuals.
  3. System usage: We automatically collect information from users such as Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, timestamps and URLs. This information will be used internally to improve user experience, service quality and server development. For students, our server records and store data about system usage and will provide it to the instructor if necessary for the purpose of
    • Assignments and tests
    • Login attempts and activities
    • Course registration
  4. The instructors may use this information for academic purposes such as evaluation, attendance, and academic integrity.
  5. Payment information: To protect users against fraud and unauthorized transactions we only collect identification data and order details to be able to match the user to the payment. We do not collect credit card information. Please note that we allow our third party vendor to collect information for the purpose of purchasing on the website. We do not have access to the payment information you provided to the third party vendor and this information is subject to the privacy policy of the third party vendor.   6. Use of Information:You acknowledge that Bitbolide may use your personal information for the following purposes:
    • Note purchase, obtain access to the system
    • Improve and develop our service
    • Customize user experience
    • Detect and protect us against fraud and other criminal activities

  7. We use your email to send you system emails about the functionality of our website and you cannot opt out from that if you want to use our services. If you want to stop receiving our system emails, you will have to suspend your account by contacting support@bitbolide.com. We collect the IP addresses to track users of our service. Since university and education institutions have specific IP addresses, we use IP addresses to monitor and validate the users for marking and evaluation purposes. We also use this data to estimate the number of internet users visiting our website from specific countries or regions of the world. We also collect non-personal information of the students for academic purposes. These includes but not limited to
    • Session times
    • Number of sessions
    • Number of question responses
    • Number of online users
    • Browser / Operating system of the user
    This information is used to perform statistical analysis of students and class performance. By agreeing to this Privacy Policy you also acknowledge that we may collect other non-personal information from users such as log data, operating system version and screen resolution in order to improve user experience. We do not share this information with any third party at any time.
  8. Biometrics Information: Bitbolide may need your biometrics information in order to verify your identity before taking a test. These information will be requested once from the user and will be stored in our secure servers for future validation. The biometric information are only stored for the duration of the semester and will be removed from our server after the end of the semester. We do not share or sell these information to any third party vendor.
  9. Secured Assessment: In secured assessment, we will record the users' video and audio. This information is processed in real-time and after the test. Tagged incidents will be kept to be reported to the test author and all other records will be removed from our servers immediately after the test.. We will not share or sell this information to any third party vendor during our possession of the records.


Safeguard


Bitbolide stores and processes users personal information on our servers located in the United States. We use reasonable administrative, physical and electrical security measures to protect your personal information. In addition to that, only certain employees have access to personal information and are signed a non-disclosure agreement to keep the information confidential and secure.
