Joint Academic-Industry Program (Computer Engineering)

Bitbolide and the Computer Science Program at Toronto Metropolitan University are looking for a candidate with strong computer programming skills to develop state-of-the-art software tools. The candidate will complete a three-month internship position and, upon successful completion, start a master's program in the Department of Computer Science at Toronto Metropolitan University. The focus of the MASc position will be to assess properties associated with a given assessment and apply AI algorithms to predict those properties before assessment administration. This position provides a unique opportunity for the candidate to work in industry for over two years while completing a master's degree.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, electrical engineering, or a relevant engineering area (4th-year candidates will also be considered)
- Proven proficiency in Python programming, JavaScript, and data visualization
- Experience working with machine learning frameworks (PyTorch)
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
- Strong project management skills
Funding Package
- Highly competitive $40,000 per year guaranteed package
- The student may also apply for a TAship at Toronto Metropolitan University in specific courses, upon industry/academic approval
